National Parks and Caves

National Parks

Taman Negara, Kuala Koh (Kelantan)
This is the northern entrance into Taman Negara which is the biggest national park in West Malaysia. This is area is quite remote and very few people visit it as compared to the other entry point at Kuala Tahan.

Taman Negara, Kuala Tahan (Pahang)
Taman Negara is the biggest national park in West Malaysia. For those who do not want to stay too far from civilisation, this is a good place to visit.

Tasek Bera (Pahang)
Tasek Bera is a fresh water lake found in Pahang. Although it offers much less activities than Taman Negara, it is much more peaceful and is an ideal place to rest and just laze around.

Gua Musang (Kelantan)
Gua Musang is not only another train station, as the name suggests, there is indeed a cave system in the cliffs behind the train station. Unfortunately, there is quite a lot of graffiti on the walls of the cave. For anyone who had more than 2 hrs to spare at the train station, why not make a trip through the cave and to the top of the hill?

Gua Tempurung (Gopeng)Gua Tempurung is a long complex cave system about 40 mins of bus ride away from the town of Ipoh. Perhaps due to its commercialization, the cave is clean and relatively free from vandalism. This is a good introduction to visitors who want to take a easy tour of a cave.
